ROSS is pleased to announce the completion of a major expansion of its facility in Nantong, China. After more than 20 years of a successful joint venture, Nantong Ross Mixing Equipment Co. Ltd. has pushed ROSS to become the world’s largest supplier of ribbon blenders in China. Nantong ROSS also produces high shear mixers, vertical blenders and other product lines for the Chinese market. Following tripled sales at the plant in recent years, the most recent expansion is a sign of the company’s continuing global dominance and leadership in the manufacture of high quality mixing & blending equipment for virtually all processes.
The expansion will add nearly 12,000 sq. ft. to the existing building. The new total enclosed manufacturing space at this location will increase to approx. 45,000 sq. ft. The contract for the expansion will be awarded before the end of the year with completion being planned for mid 2010. This new addition will be the fifth since the opening of the original plant in 1988. Included in the expansion will be a new 10-ton crane extension, as well as additional assembly and finishing space.
The Port St. Lucie location manufactures a full range of mixers and blenders. Included are high speed dispersers, dual and triple shaft mixers, planetary mixers, discharge systems, ribbon blenders, high shear mixers, pressure vessels, tanks and other custom fabricated equipment The plant is also used to rebuild and inventory the company’s line of rental equipment.(source)
